Fed: Time for Aussies to support Commonwealth Games

Organisers say it's time Australians put aside worries about the Commonwealth Games
in India and start supporting it as a great international sports event.

The 2010 Delhi Commonwealth Games Queen's Baton Relay arrives in Australia on Monday
and brings with it more than just a ceremonial display of Games history.

Security fears continue to loom after the 2008 terrorist attack in Mumbai left more
than 170 dead and February's fatal bombing in Pune killed 17 people.

The baton's first stop in Australia will be Harris Park and Parramatta .. in Sydney's
west .. which both have large Indian populations.





It will then head to the city through Circular Quay and past the Opera House on Monday afternoon.

The baton arrives from Canada .. having already travelled to 49 countries in 172 days
.. heads to Melbourne on Tuesday and Brisbane and the Gold Coast on Wednesday.
