Qld: Twenty charged after prostitution crackdown

BRISBANE, April 3 AAP - Twenty people were charged in a major prostitution crackdown
in Brisbane's Fortitude Valley over the weekend, police said today.

Nine men and five women were charged with soliciting prostitution and six others were
charged with various drug offences, a police spokeswoman said.

The offenders are to appear in court later this month following the operation, code-named
Ambush, which was set up by the state police special prostitution unit.
